Just this past week I did a radio interview with Faune Riggins asking for anyone in the community that had interest in directing a show for River City Players. I am sorry to say that my phone has not been ringing off the hook. If you have had any experience going as far back as High School, it is possible that you would be a good person to direct one of our productions. Keep in mind you would not be doing it by yourself. You would have an A.D., a props person, a stage manager, a light and sound person, and someone to do publicity. Our 2010 season dates have been set. We hopefully will be doing a March, June, September, and November show this coming year. If you have ever had the itch to be a part of your community theatre, please call me (Debbie) at (573) 335-8120. The time line to produce a play is anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks, with rehearsals usually 4 nights a week. I can tell you from personal experience that there is no better feeling than to sit back on opening night and watch with pride a show that you have directed. If you have any questions that you would like answered please call me.
