RCP Going On Strike!
Posted Saturday, May 16, 2009, at 8:15 AM
Tonight is the closing night for our season opener 'Make Me a Match.' If you need to make reservations you best do it right now by calling Port Cape. When the curtain falls tonight,River City Players will go on STRIKE. The strike will begin Sunday morning in the Yacht Club where we perform our productions. Our strike will last anywhere from 5 to 10 hours. That is about the time it takes our set designer, Tim Roth to take apart what he put together no more than two weeks ago. Then the cast and crew of 'Make Me a Match along with the Board of Directors will come in and take over. The stage will be turned back into a stage for bands to use along with other functions that are held in the Yacht Club. Then the STRIKE is over! To this day it still amazes me what Tim can do with that small stage in creating a set that looks like something you would see in a much larger city theatre. RCP will be back in September with a new set and a new show. Keep updated on our activities through this blog. Thank you to all who supported our first show and hope to see you at many more.
