The Notre Dame Scholar Bowl Team placed Third in the Class 3 Missouri State Tournament in Columbia on May 5, 2012. The Team defeated Fredericktown in the Sectional Match to advance to state. The Team won the District Tournament over New Madrid. In winning the District Tournament, the Team set an all time Notre Dame scoring record, earning over 700 points in one game. The Team finished with a record of 58-17. The Team won five tournaments during the year and placed in the top 3 in 3 tournaments in the St. Louis area. The Notre Dame Scholar Bowl team is coached by Mary Ha and Assistant Coach Ben Edwards. Members of the team are Captain Mark Blanton, Brent Dover, Robbie Hinson, Matthew Thompson, Jacob Cieslewicz, Cory Bunger, Jessica Pfau, Adam Montgomery, Abby Ritter and Josh Green. Blanton, Dover, Cieslewicz and Hinson were named to the All District Team. Blanton was named to the All State Team.
