The Missouri Health Care Association District V held a beauty pageant on June 22. This pageant took place at the Drury Lodge in Cape Girardeau and the theme was "Let Your Beauty Shine". Woodland Hills chose to participate and picked their resident, Addie Lee Barks, to be their beauty queen. Addie enjoyed this event in which she was treated like a beauty queen. At the pageant, the contestant enjoyed a luncheon with their family and friends. Once lunch was finished, the contestants were taken to an area to be interviewed by the judges. After the beauty queens had all been interviewed, they were taken to the stage and asked a few questions. Then the judges decided on the winners. Finally, all contestants were given applause and a personalized gift for participating. Addie and her family and friends had a very fun filled day participating in the beauty contest!!
