Trent Green, a senior at Perryville High School, has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Missouri University of Science and Technology at Rolla beginning in the fall of 2014. Trent is a pitcher and shortstop for the Perryville Pirates Baseball team and will pitch for the S&T Miners. He was a first-team all-conference selection as an infielder in the Jefferson County Large Schools Conference following the 2013 season. O'Keefe said Trent is a hard-working and talented athlete, who plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Trent is a player that came through our Futures camp who really showed a lot of promise on the mound," Miners Head Baseball Coach Todd DeGraffenreid said. "He is an extremely athletic right-handed pitcher who has a background as a shortstop, but will be a pitcher only for us. He shows good command of his fastball as well as his secondary pitches. Trent has the chance to be a go-to arm out of the pen as freshman."
