Coors Light Trail of Tears Triathlon

Racers participate in the Coors Light Trail of Tears Triathlon on Sept. 12, in Cape Girardeau County. Participants from a five-state region came to the area for the race, which consists of a 700-meter swim, a 15-mile bike ride and a four mile run through scenic Trail of Tears State Park. One of the region´s longest-running triathlons, the annual event has been held since 1990 through a partnership between the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department, Kohlfeld Distributing and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Kohlfeld Distributing has been the presenting sponsor of the triathlon for all 31 years under the Coors Light brand. Submitted by the Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation Department
