Cape VFW Post 3838 Donates to Veterans Home

Commander Jeff Heise (left) and Quartermaster Scott Smith of the Clippard Taylor Wilson VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau present a check for $1300 to Debbie Monroe on behalf of the Missouri Veterans Home. These funds are used for weekly bingo games for the residents of the home. This is only a portion of the annual support the Veterans Home receives from Post 3838. Additional support includes a $1500 sponsorship of the Golf Tournament, preparation and donation of a special meal served at the home on Father's Day, and hosting the annual employee appreciation dinner, just to name a few. This VFW Post is a true example of Veterans helping Veterans.
