Girl Scout Brownies from the Jackson Service Unit of Girl Scouts Missouri Heartland participated in the American Red Cross Pillowcase Project Saturday October 5 at the Jackson Elks. the girls learned how to prepared for emergencies like home fires and tornados, the importance of having an emergency supply kit and an emergency plan at their homes. The girls also earned their Brownie First Aid badge during the event. Learning about how and when to call 911, how to prevent and treat minor injuries and other important skills.
