PCMS Parent Partnership Group Presents Donkey Basketball

The Perry County Middle School Parent Partnership Group is sponsoring Donkey Basketball on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 7 p.m. in the Perry Park Center. Advance sale tickets are available for $6.00 at First State Community Bank, the Bank of Missouri, the Chamber of Commerce office, and at the Perryville Elementary, Perry County Middle School and Perryville High School offices. Tickets at the gate will be $8.00. Children ages 4 and under will be admitted free of charge.

"Last year was our first Donkey Basketball event," said PCMS Counselor Glenda Gremaud. "Everyone had a great time and it was wonderful to see the whole community involved in this worthwhile event."

Four teams have been organized and are ready to participate. The teams are the Bank of Missouri, First State Community Bank, a parent team and a teacher team. "We hope the community will come out and support us again," said Gremaud. "The money raised from this fundraiser will go to purchase student planners for middle school students next year. We are doing this in lieu of holding a fundraiser where the kids have to go out and sell things door-to- door. The whole family can get involved in this fun night and help the school at the same time."
