With spring upon us there is no shortage of things to do this weekend. With spring upon us there is no shortage of things to do this weekend. And if you're looking for fun local activities, here are a few events to consider:n The Southeast Missouri State University Department of Theatre and Dance will perform "Reckless" this weekend at the Wendy Kurka Rust Flexible Theatre on the River Campus. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday with a 2 p.m. show set for Sunday. Also scheduled for this evening at the River Campus is the Moscow Festival Ballet's performance of "Don Quixote." The ballet begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Bedell Performance Hall. Tickets for all shows may be purchased at the River Campus box office by calling 651-2265 or online at rivercampusevents.com.

* The SEMO Conference Tournament for high school baseball teams kicked off yesterday. The games, most which are played at area high schools, are always a great display of competition and camaraderie. The finals will be held at Capaha Field on Monday.

* The Relay for Life walk will take place at the Arena Building starting at 5 p.m. Saturday and until 5 a.m. Sunday. This is a great event that raises money for the American Cancer Society. For more information, contact the American Cancer Society at 334-9197.
