With spring upon us there is no shortage of things to do this weekend. And if you're looking for fun local activities, here are a few events to consider:n The Southeast Missouri State University Department of Theatre and Dance will perform "Reckless" this weekend at the Wendy Kurka Rust Flexible Theatre on the River Campus. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday with a 2 p.m. show set for Sunday. Also scheduled for this evening at the River Campus is the Moscow Festival Ballet's performance of "Don Quixote." The ballet begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Bedell Performance Hall. Tickets for all shows may be purchased at the River Campus box office by calling 651-2265 or online at rivercampusevents.com.
* The SEMO Conference Tournament for high school baseball teams kicked off yesterday. The games, most which are played at area high schools, are always a great display of competition and camaraderie. The finals will be held at Capaha Field on Monday.
* The Relay for Life walk will take place at the Arena Building starting at 5 p.m. Saturday and until 5 a.m. Sunday. This is a great event that raises money for the American Cancer Society. For more information, contact the American Cancer Society at 334-9197.
