WALL OF FAME MURAL

The list of famous Missourians nominated to be featured on 500-foot-long, 14-foot-high mural on the Cape Girardeau floodwall is an impressive and distinguished gathering.

The River Heritage Mural Association's plans for the mural include a former president, authors, scientists, playwrights, entrepreneurs, sports figures, movie greats, entertainers and outlaws.

Organizations and individuals will have an opportunity to participate in the funding of the $35,000 mural by sponsoring panels featuring the famous Missourians.

All in all, the mural association has come up with a plan to create a notable attraction that will not only honor the famous sons and daughters of the Show Me State, but will also give the City of Roses another attraction for its growing tourism business. Other murals already grace the floodwall and buildings around the city.
