To the editor: The Wall Street Journal's op-ed column about unions criticized what unions are doing. Did you ever stop to think every time you buy drugs or gasoline or pay a medical bill or pay taxes and a host of other things that you are doing the same as union members: you are paying for lavish bonuses, vacations, lobbyists and a lot of other perks for the rich?...

The Wall Street Journal's op-ed column about unions criticized what unions are doing. Did you ever stop to think every time you buy drugs or gasoline or pay a medical bill or pay taxes and a host of other things that you are doing the same as union members: you are paying for lavish bonuses, vacations, lobbyists and a lot of other perks for the rich?

With our form of government, the only way to get things accomplished is to buy votes in our state legislature and in Congress. At least our union leaders are trying to get better wages and conditions for their members, whereas the aforementioned people are strictly for themselves. They take all they can from the workers. How dare The Wall Street Journal cry foul?
