To the editor: It is becoming increasingly clear that the Bush administration built its case for invading Iraq on shaky grounds. The evidence of weapons of mass destruction was incomplete, faulty, forged and distorted when it was presented to the American public, Congress and the United Nations as justification for an invasion of a country that was of no threat to us. ...

It is becoming increasingly clear that the Bush administration built its case for invading Iraq on shaky grounds. The evidence of weapons of mass destruction was incomplete, faulty, forged and distorted when it was presented to the American public, Congress and the United Nations as justification for an invasion of a country that was of no threat to us. This invasion led directly to the death of 150 (and counting) U.S. soldiers and to the waste of billions of our tax dollars during a major recession.

Various sources in the intelligence community have made it apparent that this distortion of information was due to the administration's overwhelming desire to go to war. If George Bush knowingly lied to the Congress in order to receive their backing for war, he must be impeached. An official inquiry is in order: What did Bush know? When did he know it?
