I hope this becomes an annual event for Cape Girardeau. Free? I don't know. But as a retired veteran who goes to the annual air show with 3,000 or 4,000 in attendance, this is a lot bigger. The Missourian reported that 6,800 passed through the main gate before the guy's thumb wore out on his clicker. We came through the second area, and there were a lot after us through other areas with no one keeping count. My best guess is there were more than 15,000 in attendance.

Yes, there were problems. There were seven portable toilets for the multitudes. A bunch more are needed for next year. There was a two-hour wait to get out of the parking lot, but the police, highway patrol and helpers did a great job of moving traffic on two-lane roads. The bottom line is that the experience was worth it. Keep up the good work.
