THE PUBLIC MIND: PEOPLE HELP MAKE CAPE `THE PLACE' TO BE

o the Editor:

We at the Convention & Visitors Bureau would like to take this opportunity to publicly recognize and thank the many individuals who have helped make Cape Girardeau "the place" to be the past few months.

Mark Seesing at the Cape Municipal Airport and the many hardworking people who helped make May's Aviation Days a complete and well managed success.

Greg Talbut and all the many committees and individuals that made June's Riverfest the memorable event that it has become over the last 13 years.

Pete Poe and the men from V.F.W. Post 3838 who quickly put together a most spectacular fireworks display for July 4th. Planning for 1993 is already underway.

The activities were varied and provided our area with fun family entertainment making Cape Girardeau "the place" to be.

Congratulations to all for a job well done.
