To the Editor:
The Chamber of Commerce has come out in support of riverboat gambling, which was their duty as the members' vote dictated.
Immediate response was dropped membership and threatened boycott. Why would anyone want to boycott community leaders' places of business when they were only the messengers of what the chamber membership wanted.
Thank God we have people who get involved on both sides of any issue, but to try and punish people who are only announcing what the members' desires are is hardly a charitable act, no matter under what guise you do it.
