Beware of Julian Castro.
As Housing Secretary, Castro has become the darling of the far left and the much-rumored vice presidential frontrunner for Hillary Clinton.
In what could be the final nail in the coffin fashioned for America by President Obama, this fall Castro will launch the most socially disruptive scheme yet devised.
With no Congressional approval, Castro will double the taxpayer-funded Section 8 payments for voucher holders to move to affluent white neighborhoods.
To virtually assure the migration, he will also decrease payments for voucher holders who choose to remain in mostly low-income segregated neighborhoods.
On at least three occasions, similar social engineered housing was tried with dismal results.
But the Obama mission -- headed by Castro -- will up the ante with more money, free utilities and government-hired "mobility counselors" to assure housing is in well-to-do white subdivisions.
Remember the name Julian Castro.
In past failed efforts to relocate Section 8 residents, crime has spiked in the newly-engineered neighborhoods while employment and welfare assistance has remained unchanged.
This is yet another brilliant Obama lose-lose situation.
Obama and Castro don't hide their intentions.
The plan is simply a way to punish some neighborhoods -- mostly suburbs -- for being too white and too wealthy.
Some are calling this asinine scheme Obama's final act. To be fair, this social engineering was in the works early on to be sprung on America as the king was leaving the castle.
As usual, the president's misguided view of this nation seems to believe a change in geography will somehow cure society's ills.
This naive assessment seems beneath our scholarly president.
He ignores history, he ignores common sense, he ignores the inherent differences in people and he ignores the wishes of the American people.
Here's what this president and his henchmen have told us this week:
Ignore criminal backgrounds as a factor in housing and employment.
Restore the right to vote for felons.
And while we're at it, cease referring to that population as convicts and felons.
And now, after saving and sacrificing to buy the house of your dreams, welcome your new neighbors.
And remember, you're paying their rent.
Yes indeed, the fundamental transformation is nearly complete.
