Thank you to all who aided in the explanation of the recent Scott County ballot initiative and to all who voted to approve it. Your help was greatly appreciated.

The passage of this ballot was crucial for Scott County to continue providing the services you have become accustomed to, expect and demand. The commission feels that with the ballot's approval by a 3-1 margin and its passing in every precinct that it is a representation of what the public expects. Soundly, it sends a message to lawbreakers that we will provide funds for law enforcement to negate their activities in Scott County.

This ballot also provides the commitment to our enhanced Emergency 911 system and to maintain and strive to improve dispatching of emergency calls.

We invite you at any time to attend our meetings or call us with any of your concerns, and they will be discussed. Thank you again for passing the ballot initiative and having faith in your county government.
