Students showed kindness, concern

To the editor:Recently our aunt attended an event for senior citizens sponsored and hosted by Jackson High School students. Unfortunately, upon leaving the building after the event, she fell, severely breaking her leg along with less serious other injuries. She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Almost as quickly as the ambulance arrived at the hospital, three high school boys who had participated in the program arrived at the emergency room with flowers for our aunt and requested to visit with her. Although circumstances made a visit impossible, they left the flowers and said that they would say a prayer for her.

The parents of Andrew Lorenz, Tyler Holman, and Drake Douglass must be very proud to have such fine sons. We thank them for their kindness and concern and for restoring our faith in our younger generation.
