Special thanks for posters made by schoolchildren

To the editor:

On behalf of the Cape Girardeau and Jackson Clergy Alliance, I would like to thank all the children in the elementary schools who made posters for the candlelight memorial service held at the Show Me Center. At that service, the posters were on the dais for all to see. After the service, they were distributed to the mall and some of the downtown stores for display. A few of the posters were also given to the Cape and Jackson police and fire departments to remind them how much we appreciate their service to our community.
