THERE'S A WOMAN who is a senior citizen and she's not able to get out into the yard in the snow. She does well to walk up and down steps. She lives in the 500 block of North Fountain. She has called the Missourian many times and asked that they put the paper up in the yard where she can get it but they drop it down there on the sidewalk next to the street. Why is it that they can't get the paper up there? That's one reason I have quit the paper. And I don't intend to buy the paper no more until they can promise they can put it in my yard where I can get it. This lady says she don't need the paper and if she has to she will quit the paper. Why is it the Southeast Missourian wants your money but they can't deliver the paper where you want it? Thank you.

WELL, I'M VERY glad we got a paper this morning. This is the first one we have gotten since Friday. No Sunday paper, no Monday paper. I know some of the streets are bad but I think the carrier ought to make other means of transportation to get the paper delivered. After all we do have to pay for them, supposedly, not unless they will be deducted whenever they come by to collect again. By the way, I live in Marble Hill. Thank you.

I HAVE HEARD my parents, family and friends talk about how hard it is to decipher anything out in the TV Guide put out by the Southeast Missourian. On the visits at Thanksgiving and Christmas, I found out exactly how bad it was. The old one that you had in the paper form was bad enough but the new one is terrible. It's a conglomerate of confusion and many shows are not listed, nor do the listings seem to be correct. Especially those for Christmas programs and Christmas day programming. Also, there is no explanation of many programs or movies. A suggestion, a very nice and easy to read TV magazine is the one that appears in the St. Louis Sunday Post-Dispatch. It is not thicker but is outlined day by day, not all lumped together so that the daily changes and daytime programming are not outlined. It is easy to follow in both programming and movies are described. It also gives a guide on the inside back cover of which channels are which numbers, based on that cable company. If the St. Louis Post-Dispatch can be so well organized with all the different cable companies that they have in St. Louis, how come Cape Girardeau, with only one cable company cannot have and adopt a easy guide to follow? Please get a TV guide magazine from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and adopt its outline. I would even be glad to send you several of them to assist you in this. Thank you.

I WOULD LIKE to find out the address of the person who writes the Born Loser. Could somebody give me the address? I would really appreciate it. Thank you. Bye. OVER PAST YEARS, as many people will remember, the Salvation Army store on Broadway closed its doors at 5 p.m. on Dec. 23, and except for the transient operator they did not open again until Dec. 26 around 10 a.m. This was done to eliminate latecomers who receive baskets from a lot of places and then on the last day would go to the Army and get another one. Today as the only remained opened several people were seen entering who had received baskets this week from the ACLU Independent Union, and at least two people were recognized who had had baskets from the Eagle's Club. We would hope in the future that the new officers would continue the trend of the years gone by before because cheating is just no good. Thank you. I THINK IT'S pretty bad when North Scott County Post and the paper of Chaffee can't even get the local news. What I'm talking about is at least three local boys who graduated from Chaffee is going to participate in Operation Desert Shield, one of them is already over there and that's Jeff Davis. The other two from members of the 1221st National Guard transportation unit of Dexter, Mo. - Freddy Carroll and Stanley Hahn who are waiting at Fort Leonard Wood, waiting for their equipment to arrive over there so they may go. They haven't even published this yet and the information is even brought to them six weeks ago so it can be put into the paper. What do they do? They say we'll put it in, next thing you know they say we don't have room. This is the type of report these newspapers are giving these boys. YES, I'M CALLING in reference to the case on Michael Revelle. He received a 15-year sentence and I'm wondering whatever happened to the case. Did they dismiss it or what? He's still free and he goes across the river - he's not suppose to do that. He's hunting and fishing. If you convict a fellow they're not suppose to have any weapons. Will you please check into it? Thank you.
