IF JACKSON is going to combine the city library with the regional library, why can't Cape do the same thing? Then people in the new part of Cape can use the library on Clark Street without having to pay that extra fee. It would also be a lot handier for people in the eastern part of the county to come into to Cape to use the library instead of having to go all the way to Jackson...

Combine Cape library too

IF JACKSON is going to combine the city library with the regional library, why can't Cape do the same thing? Then people in the new part of Cape can use the library on Clark Street without having to pay that extra fee. Traffic light impact

THE ONLY changes I have seen in placing the stoplights at Highway 61 and I-55 are long black skid marks and it tends to bunch the idiots who think the inside lane is their own private lane.

Band is grand

WEDNESDAY night, at Capaha Park, the breeze was cool, the moon was full and the music was grand. My thanks to our very fine city band.

Networks ignore hearings

DURING the 1970s, the major TV networks pre-empted all regular programming in order to provide live coverage of the Watergate hearings. It is blatantly obvious that the network media does not want us to see the Whitewater hearings in order to protect their liberal president. If anyone is interested in hearing the hearings, turn to C-SPAN.
