IT'S A shame when people will not accept the proven truth about Mr. Clinton's character. In Speak Out, a reader blasted the Southeast Missourian for printing a comment that the president is a pervert. Well, if he exposes himself to women, grabs and fondles them, has oral sex in the White House with an employee, has affairs with many women and admits to many (the ones he can't lie about), he is a pervert. Don't you think Hillary knew this problem before he ran for president? Come on, the smartest woman in the world? This shows her character too. Stop lying to yourself about this degrading person and stop worshipping him. He's made a fool of so many.
I'VE BEEN reading all the comments about your printing the word "pervert" in reference to President Clinton. The last comment I read said that he's not a pervert, that a pervert is a child molester or a deviant and that Bill Clinton should be able to sue. Well, according to the Random House dictionary and several others I've referred to, "pervert" means someone who commits an unnatural act. According to the same dictionaries, sodomy means an unnatural sexual act including oral sex. So according to the dictionary, a pervert performs unnatural acts and sodomy, which is sometimes considered oral sex or other types of sex. So according to dictionary definitions, Bill Clinton is indeed a pervert.
I WANTED to gag when I read the comment in Speak Out from the individual chastising the Southeast Missourian for using phrases like "pervert" in reference to Bill Clinton. The person called Clinton a "gentleman" and a "compassionate man." That is exactly what's wrong with this country right now. People like this with pathetic feelings against a scumbag like Clinton. God help us.
I'M CALLING concerning an issue that involves Cape Girardeau County: health care. Believe it or not, there are actually poor people in Cape Girardeau. I know we have lots of rich people, lots of bankers, lots of lawyers and lots of dentists, but there are no dentists who take Medicaid for poor people that may need to see them. I've talked with several children and several older people who really need dentist appointments, but there is no one in this town that takes Medicaid. You have to go to St. Louis. I know Cape Girardeau doesn't like to think there are poor people in this town, but there are. There are people who need help. We need to do something to help those who need it. I don't know what it is about this town that makes everyone think they're better than everyone else. Everyone hides in their houses and refuses to go out and mingle with people. This town seems sort of backwards. You can go anywhere in this country and you'll never ever find a town quite as rude or quite as hostile as Cape Girardeau. We need take a look at this and find out what we can do to try to help each other. Unless we help each other, we're never going to be able to improve. This town will never grow. We have to quit worrying about our individual needs and start looking around for those who need our help.
I'M CALLING about the people of Cape Girardeau. The people of Cape Girardeau are rude, self-absorbed, cliquish, prejudiced and out of touch with the rest of the world. They have an over-inflated sense of self-worth. Soon Earth is about to make a cleansing. We're in a quickening now. The rivers will soon rise, the rains are going to come and volcano eruptions are going to happen along the Mississippi River. Lots of people will probably die, and soon those that think they know a lot will find that they know nothing. Earth is going to change, and those who want to be ready should get ready soon.
WE'VE HAD another traffic accident on Independence at the Kmart entrance on Independence. This is a very dangerous section of Independence. I recommend that the city close that entrance to Kmart to prevent further insurance claims, further heartaches and injury and possible death. Please, close the Independence Street entrance to Kmart.
I HAVE a few questions about the Kennedy funeral. Why was the flag lowered to half mast? Why was there a Navy honor guard and rifle volley? Why were the flags presented to the families? These honors all pertain to veterans, which they were not. They were just plain people like you and me. Also, why use a military vehicle for transportation to the burial site? Who paid for the expenses, and how much did it cost? Or were the rules and regulations for this event bypassed like they have been in the past just because of who you are?
THIS IS in answer to the person who called in about the Jackson boys league charging admission to games. That was for a tournament that was sanctioned by the Missouri Babe Ruth Association, and we were required to charge admission because we had to pay Babe Ruth for expenses for umpires and their district people to be here. Also, all of that had been OK'd by our city park director, Shane Anderson. The mayor knew of the situation. I just wanted to inform everyone who read that we were not charging admission just to be charging admission.
I WANT to reply to the comment "Bad choice of words to print." The president may not be a pervert, but he's definitely not a compassionate man to embarrass his wife in front of the whole country with a woman who's half his age.
I'VE BEEN reading a lot about the surplus being fake. I think that's probably true. But if the surplus is fake, then the so-called pay increase they voted themselves is fake, and this tax cut is fake too. Lots of fakers up there in Congress, on both sides.
I WOULD like to comment about the horrible heat and animals. Please remember that animals cannot water themselves, and they need adequate water and shade in this heat if they cannot be inside where it's cool. Even in a garage, the heat can build up. Please don't leave your animals or children in a car in this heat. Please remember these things when it's this hot. Don't just take care of yourselves and the people that you love, but the furry animals you love also.
I UNDERSTAND Rush Limbaugh made vitriolic and offensive remarks on his radio show concerning the death of JFK Jr. His lack of understanding of why many of us find this tragic and worthy of note completely baffles me. This young man was not political, did not have any agenda other than to live a private life and do good to others, as we now learn. Obviously he was the complete opposite of Rush Limbaugh. He was a basically positive and dignified person. Evidently when some of us tried to flush Rush, we didn't hold the handle down long enough.
IT SAYS Cape has a water shortage. Now Cape would like to have a lot of Jackson's good water. Jackson doesn't want any of Cape's old nasty river water. Jackson doesn't want to contaminate the water lines with that old nasty river water. We hope Cape can solve the water problems soon.
THIS GOES out to the old man who's driving around in a red Grand Am with dealer plates in downtown Cape Girardeau early Saturday afternoon: When you pulled over, I thought you were going to ask me about directions, but that's not at all what you were asking. Just because a woman walks by herself doesn't mean she's a hooker. Some people walk because it's healthy, but you probably wouldn't know what healthy behavior is anyhow.
MY GOODNESS, what happened to the manners and consideration of Jackson people? On any day, one can drive between Jackson and Cape Girardeau, and slowpokes hog the left lane. Why don't they look in their rear-view mirrors and get out of the way for others? The left hand lane is for passing, and the center lane is for turning left. The right lane is for slow traffic. We need signs stating "Slow traffic, keep right." What happened for the concern for others by Jackson people? I was raised in Jackson and lived there all my life. What happened to our manners and consideration?
THAT WAS a very nice article in the Southeast Missourian about tickets going from 4,500 to 9,500 in a year, and only about a 3 percent drop in accidents. The mayor is happy with the results. I would suppose so, because look at the revenue it's created. Wouldn't it be something if the citizens would be able to make the police officers stand trial in court and have their driver's license suffer point adjustments when we citizens see them speeding or not using their turn signal or rolling through a stop sign? I suppose that will never happen. The answer would be "police business." But if their lights are not on, they should not be allowed to break the laws. Citizens should know their rights. Talk to your councilman. Obviously the mayor is happy, but you still have the councilmen. If the police department is not very careful, it will lose the respect of many of the citizens of Cape Girardeau. I'd hate to see that happen. After all, look at our president. How much respect has he lost with his shenanigans with no punishment? The department could be quite a bit more user-friendly and stay within the laws themselves. So, citizens, watch and see what you see. Mayor Spradling, city councilmen, watch and see what you see. Then talk amongst yourselves.
I'D LIKE to comment on AmerenUE. I had some trouble when a bunch of trees blew over. But I called them, and they came and helped me. I had a power outage at my house, and they really did a good job. I really want to say that I appreciate it, and they did a very good job Right on, AmerenUE!
