HAVING COFFEE with a few friends, we discussed the most disgusting acts of politicians since the country was founded. Of course, No. 1 was Mr. Clinton's deeds, but running a close second was the Democratic members of the House marching on Capitol Hill to show their support for a president who had lied and had oral sex in the White House with a young intern half his age. Only a few Democrats didn't show up for this. Please don't talk about honor and decency of the Democrats and the House of Representatives led by Dick Gephardt, minority leader. What nerve. This was an embarrassing episode for the Democrats and the day that I quit the party.
I WOULD like to make a comment about the people calling Speak Out wanting to know one thing that Bill Clinton has done. Well, I can't say he's done anything to the economy, because that's all because of Reagan and Bush. But I can assure you one thing Clinton did. We will all know that each kid, kindergarten through the 12th grade, will at least know how to use a condom. Thank you. After all, Bill Clinton is the greatest.
I WOULD just like to thank Trinity Lutheran Church for the beautiful service.
THE BIG sucking sound coming from the Clinton White House could also be the sound of our freedoms being lost one by one by government control on everything. Even on morals and values in America. We don't need Communist Al Gore to take his place either.
THE THESIS of a recently published letter to the editor was that the Oak Ridge interchange plan makes no sense. I would like to broaden and expand on that theme a tad. Neither does life.
A SPOKESPERSON for the gays and the lesbians said it would be devastating for George Bush to become president because of what Mr. Clinton has done for them. I think it will be more devastating for a country if you don't get Christian values back in our homes and schools and government and our lives.
