GOP, Obamacare

If the House GOP would work to make Obamacare better instead of wasting the hardworking middle class's and poor people's money trying to stop it, it would maybe do wonders. But no, they are so greedy they can't do the right thing.

County commission

Clint Tracy sounds a little like someone in the Obama administration -- spinning an increase in taxes to sound like it is actually a reduction. This group of overpaid public servants, our commissioners, need to be all voted out. They draw their overcompensated salaries, driving around in new, county-provided automobiles with very flexible work schedules. It may not be a huge sum of increase, but when you start adding in the increase of insurance, cost of living, fuel, all these "little" increases take a big bite from our disposable income, but if I was making what these guys do I guess I wouldn't miss it.

Diplomatic solution

History will (of course) show that Secretary of State Kerry did not stumble into what appears to be a groundbreaking diplomatic solution to Syria's chemical weapons stockpile as a hopelessly naive and in-over-his-head Speak Out caller suggested.

House bill

For the Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives to try to force the U.S. Senate (Are you reading this, congressman Jason Smith?) to pass a bill Republican House members know will not pass the U.S. Senate sends a clear signal to constituents that they have no interest in compromising, negotiating or are in any way concerned about the future of our great republic.

United?

They say, "United we stand, divided we fall." There is no place we are more divided than in our own government. Why do we need Republicans and Democrats? Why do we need a House and Senate? Why can't it just be the U.S. Congress? If we were all on the same page maybe they would actually work together and fix the issues with this country. Instead they seem to be worrying more about which party has control. The government has 237 years of experience running this country and this is the shape we are in? The Founding Fathers are spinning in their graves right now. "One nation under God, indivisible ..." Are we really?

Data mining?

Why do large corporations love Common Core so much? Why do they spend billions to support it? Easy, they are going to make a ton of money with data mining.
