I have a news flash, unions are not bad. Without them businesses would trod all over people. I don't think people know how hard that things were fought for. My grandpa worked in the coal mines, and he was on the other side; he was in management. But would come home with a bloody face where a rock was thrown through his car. But these were people that were striving for good union conditions, good living wages for their families. It has been fought hard for. Let's not forget that unions have played an important part in making America as great as it is.
In 2007 Bush had the unemployment down to 4.5 percent (great). Stock market was booming (wow). Food stamp usage was way down. Unemployment checks usage way down. Then in 2008 the Democrats took over Congress. Pelosi and Reed said they were going to change things to make them better. I want Bush back.
I almost had a heart attack when I heard a number of congressmen say on TV that 8/1/12 will be remembered as a day of infamy, like D Day and Sept 11. What horrible tragedy has befallen us, I wondered. Needless to say I was perplexed to find out that the so-called tragedy was that Aug. 1, millions of more American women became eligible for free, preventive health care screening, as a result of the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare.
