Trumped-up ideas

Hyperbolic, histrionic, and now apparently psychic historian Wayne Bowen has told us in a column that the U.S. deal with Iran will have the opposite effect of that intended by the U.S. and the other great powers. It's sad to see that Bowen has taken a giant leap backward in his analyses and succumbed to the tactics of Trumpification.

Pot, kettle

The rest of the GOP candidates are calling Trump a blow-beating sideshow. Well, I've got a message for the rest of the GOP candidates -- you are a no-show.

No third term!

I just read an article about Obama's trip to Africa and a speech he made. He has to be one of the most arrogant people I have ever heard. Here is what was reported: President Obama is feeling good about his chances at re-election -- if he could run again.

Credit where due

Mark another one up for the Obama administration. A just released report (says) that Medicare patient deaths, hospitalizations and costs all dropped by a substantial amount.

Dynamic duo

You have heard it said, "Behind every good man there is a good woman." This is the way it is with Dr. Ken Dobbins. Much has been written about him, (but) not much has been written about his wife. Such a hard worker. I worked with her on a committee at the university. Believe me, she did her share, even though as first lady she might have been able to shirk her duties without (giving) any excuse on the committee. Appreciate you, Janine. Have a wonderful retirement.

Front-row problem

I just received the new seating (diagram) for the Show Me Center. I hope that the people on the board who've taken away all the aisles to create 200 more seats on a stadium they don't even fill, except for the Christmas Tournament, have to sit on the end, that I get to crawl over them. It's a shame to what they did to a fine arrangement.

High pie praise

I would like to thank R. Joe Sullivan for the wonderful article that he had about the Pie Lady. And I am so proud that somebody recognized and did something for her.
