GET the word to the political candidates who want my vote: Bothering me on my home phone will not get your vote.

No on Prop C

AFTER reading the two articles on Sunday's Perspectives page concerning Proposition C, it is evident that Missourians need to vote no. The health care system is greatly overpriced, and the budget going to be balanced by going back to what we had. The new health care law, even though it's not perfect, is a step in the right direction, and Americans need to stick together to reform the system instead of going back to what we had.

Blame politicians

I hear about the people cheating the taxpayers. Wall Street gets much of the blame. How come no one ever blames politicians? They're the ones who makes the cheating possible.

Den of thieves

LET'S be clear about this. If there are many church people who would like to see a casino in Cape Girardeau, they should read Mark 11:15. Jesus is in the temple. A casino would be like a den of thieves.

How far to go?

EACH month it gets harder and harder to stretch the budget. So should your wife be a prostitute or work in a strip joint? It's the same logic for saying you should allow a casino boat. Just how much of your morals are you going to give up to meet the budget or make ends meet? What's it down to?
