CID tax

Community Improvement District is code for taxing everyone who does business in that area to support those businesses who do not care enough about themselves to clean up the vomit, broken beer bottles in front of your business and fix the fractured windows in the buildings. Why is it necessary to "enhance" city services? Why are those services failing? Why is it necessary to divert tax revenue to a select group? Just another government handout to "enhance" what the taxpayers are currently paying for. Talk about double dipping.

Jobs vs. movie

One thousand jobs down the drain and the Southeast Missourian seems fixated on the potential local filming on an R-rated Hollywood flick.

Going 'ga ga'

It is sickening how people go "ga ga" awaiting the birth of a "royal" baby. British royalty is probably one of the worst kind of welfare that exists.
