Save Whitey

WHITEY, the albino deer is beginning to grow antlers, so now we're going to have to call him Mr. Whitey. This is a plea to the Cape Girardeau police, please don't let anybody shoot Whitey. We would like Whitey to survive several years.

Stamp machine

I have a concern. I wish we could get stamp machines back in the post office lobby, because a lot of people are unable to get to the post office when it is open. A lot of people need to buy stamps. It's pretty crazy that's there not a stamp machine available.

Cracking down

I say kudos to the law enforcement officers who are cracking down on the illegal aliens in Southeast Missouri. Thank you.

Health care

I would never watch anything Michael Moore wrote, produced or directed. As for Canadians not wanting the health care we have in the U.S., why do so many Canadians come here for treatment? Because they can't get it through their government-run health care. Our health care may not be the best, but at least we have the option to choose what doctor we want and what course of treatment we want.

American pie

REGARDING the ban on fireworks in Jackson: How un-American are you? Is that not the day that we celebrate our country's freedom? It has been celebrated with fireworks as long as I can remember. It's American like apple pie, watermelon and hot dogs.
