WHO is guiding our president? Since Barack Obama was running for president it was clear that he was reading from a teleprompter and somebody else was writing the speech. I want to know who was approving the speech and setting the agenda. It is clear that somebody else is telling our president what to say.
THIS is to all sons and daughters about meth. Back in the 1980s I was going to Southeast Missouri State University to better myself for my family. In the middle of trying to get a better education, my wife got on meth. I tried many different things to help but to no avail. We finally got a bitter divorce. My daughter is in the Army somewhere in Iraq, and my son was wounded in Iraq were he served as a Marine. He was a great soccer player when he was young, and now he is going to Southeast. I am proud of both of them and miss them very much. I haven't talked to them or heard from them in years and want to so badly. My heart has some big holes, and only they can fill them. For all of those who miss their children on Father's Day and for all of those children who have fathers: Family is more important than life itself.
AS the wife of an AmerenUE lineman, I would like to ask that people not give linemen such a hard time when they don't get electricity back on right away. I didn't realize until I saw firsthand how long it takes to go house by house. The linemen deserve appreciation for all their hard work. They get paid well, but they earn every penny and more. I have seen my husband sick from the heat and freezing cold, working in dangerous situations, hungry and exhausted from working almost round the clock. He misses holidays with his family and has to cancel plans often. These men work their tail off to provide the fastest service they can and deserve more respect than they get.
WHY isn't Cape Girardeau smoke-free? Where's the person who will stand up and lead this charge? I can't do it, because I'd be fired. My boss smokes. She thinks smoking is a God-given expression of liberty. I'd get a new job, but it's tough to find a job and I need this one.
