When President Obama did not submit a budget, David Limbaugh was livid. However, once the president submitted a budget, Mr. Limbaugh was merely apoplectic.
There is no such thing as a "gun show loophole." That is a fallacy perpetrated by anti-gunners as a means of backdoor registration. Under current laws, all commercial firearms sales require a NICS FBI background check and form 4473. Do not support "new" background checks as they will eliminate your rights.
Since Newtown, the number of Americans killed by guns is more than 3,500.
It would be different if the Cape Public School system's "a computer for every student" proposal was widely supported by teachers and administrative staff. However, a recent intra-school survey shows this not to be the case. The taxpaying public deserves to know who does support this proposal and, most importantly, why?
Democracy was once again thwarted when a minority of U.S. senators blocked an expanded background check for purchasers of guns by, for example, closing the gun show loophole. There are no words to express the shame senators who voted against the proposal should feel but will instead proudly tout their NRA credentials.
I recently saw one of the best performances by a high school drama program I have ever seen. Notre Dame Regional High School performed "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers." It was entertaining and fun and you could tell the students loved what they were doing. The dancing and choreography was just fantastic. We went back a second night and loved it even more. Congratulations to a great cast.
All the medical marijuana ads are of younger people probably still in their teens or maybe 20s. Like they are really in need of it for pain. Looks to me like they are just passing the laws to make it legal for all to get and make the streets more dangerous with impaired drivers or more robberies and killings.
Oregon and Mississippi are the only state governments to have the courage to require a prescription for pseudoephedrine [a key ingredient in making meth] statewide. The result? A drop in meth-making in those states of upward of 90 percent. The legislators in the Missouri General Assembly lack the courage to take on Big Pharma.
