I support the women's shelter. But before Cape adds any more to court costs, we need to review those already in place to ensure that we are not unfairly creating virtual debtors' prisons as is done in Ferguson and many other communities. Balancing budgets on the backs of the poor is bad government.

The absolute key to any community's downtown revival is getting people to live there. It seems to me that whether or not downtown Cape's semi-revival can accomplish that goal to the degree necessary to call downtown Cape's comeback a true renaissance.
