Trump keeps saying the wall is our problem, but he is the problem. From his incompetent appointees, to his tweeting, his lies, etc., etc. The list is long and verifiable. The problems begin and end with the fact that he is not qualified for the job. Who/what will he blame if he does get his expensive wall?
Who would have ever thought that teachers in red states would walk out in protest concerning their justifiable outrage at legislative malfeasance when it comes to funding education? Oh, by the way, Missouri is a red state.
Mark Hopkins in his column April 7th calls for a "national planning commission." The world has seen plenty of such "commissions"; they were called "Five Year Plans" and were put in place by the old Soviet Union. They, of course, were worthless, were never even remotely accomplished. Some people just keep on thinking that the solution to all our problems is more government involvement, when usually more such involvement just causes more problems, while spending zillions of taxpayers' dollars. Our nation is "Of the people, by the people, for the people", not "of the government, by the government, for the government."
I cannot believe the Southeast Missourian has stooped to an all new level and printing the names of the people who have filed bankruptcy. This is unacceptable. These people have had a hard time and you are putting it out there for the world to see. How dare you! That's like being the media bully! Way to go Southeast Missourian. We are not only the most boring town in Missouri but now the most disrespectful town in Missouri!
Jeff Long, in his column April 7th, is like the Associated Press: he won't miss a chance to take a swipe at President Trump. Just what did his subject that day have to do with the president? Nothing. But he just had to find an excuse to drop in a putdown. Such tactics do nothing but make him look bad, showing his true colors, reducing his credibility.
Congratulations Hilary, Phillip, other staff and, of course, the dancers for an outstanding Spring Into Dance!!
