It�s one thing for Mike Jensen to voice skepticism about the Southern Poverty Law Center�s (SPLC) claim Sikeston is home to a hate group, but quite another to claim the organization benefits from promoting hate. That�s right, �promoting ... hate.� That is such an incredulous and outrageous statement, Mr. Jensen owes the SPLC specifically and the public in general a sincere apology.
Jackson has a leash law in place for a variety of reasons and walking down the street carrying the leash in your hand while your dogs trot down the street unattached is not what this law implies. This is not keeping your dogs under control if they decide to take off!

I read with interest the opinion of the Honorable Mr. Moeller extolling the virtues of our electric energy suppliers. He should take a trip on Route K between Cape Girardeau and Gordonville to see the sterile, industrial compound erected by Ameren to supply Cape Girardeau with their insatiable appetite for electricity.
