Habitat for Humanity

The local Habitat for Humanity board has shown a complete disregard for both the very folks it purposes to serve and the community as a whole. One of the premises of Habitat for Humanity is that those who cannot normally own a home will be able to do so and be able to be part of the larger community. Putting all of these homes in one little neighborhood is NOT incorporating these families into the community; rather, it is setting them apart yet again. Yes, in a different part of town and in a home they have earned, but still set apart.

World Series

This Cardinals fan wants to congratulate the 2016 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs! Way to go guys!

Disrespect downtown

A little after noon on Sunday on Spanish Street just outside Bella Italia, a motorcyclist blocked traffic in both lines while a large group of his friends sat on their bikes and repeatedly revved their motors. No respect for diners on the patio area and people out walking and enjoying the beautiful day. No respect for the motorists backed up in both directions. What an extremely rude bunch of bikers. Next time I’ll write down some license numbers and call the police.

Good luck deciding

Just watched the lives of Clinton and Trump on CNN. If you are having problems making a decision watch their life stories. It’s a real eye opener. It’s very clear who has the most experience and who would be the best person for president. Good luck and follow your heart.
