Without naming names, I think there is a relatively small number of members of Congress who have spent far too much time watching and been far too influenced by the TV series "Sons of Anarchy."
The flowers and plants along Broadway look like weeds and do nothing to make the appearance of Broadway look better. Why didn't the city plan knock out rose bushes along Broadway? They bloom from spring to fall, need very little work, and are drought-resistant. They come in red, pink, white, and yellow. After all, isn't Cape known to be the city of roses?
Tea party advocates may claim to honor the Founding Fathers and the Constitution, but in reality believe the Constitution created a far too powerful government and think we were better off under our nation's first constitution, the Articles of Confederation, a framework of government providing for a very weak central government. Having said that, there are more than a few members of the tea party who would prefer outright anarchy.
I think it is wonderful to have the movie people in town. What they are doing is very, very hard work, and I say we should leave them alone as much as possible to do their jobs. I wish workers, actors and all concerned every success!
What's with all of the, "Obamacare is being forced on us" nonsense? I have United Healthcare for insurance. After Obamacare kicks in Oct. 1, I'll still have United Healthcare. News flash! NO ONE is forcing anyone to enroll in Obamacare. Stop spreading misinformation.
It would be kind of a surprise, but the Republicans could regain the upper hand by demanding that Obamacare be replaced with a single-payer system, a truly universal health-care system, Medicare for all, if you will.
I don't understand why people on the "right" are speaking as though someone is going to come along and force everyone to be on Obamacare. This is nothing but a lie, pure and simple. I'm pretty sure the Bible has something to say about lying, so knock it off. If you have health insurance, you can keep what you have, even if you don't have any health insurance currently, you still don't have to buy into Obamacare.

David Limbaugh recently asked whether there had ever been a bigger hoax perpetrated on the American people than Obamacare. Though I don't think Obamacare is a hoax, I still would like to list several examples of what would be greater wrongs perpetrated on the American people by the government. Though there are many more, three that come to mind are the Fugitive Slave Law, requiring escaped slaves to be returned to their owners; the Smoot-Hawley protective tariff, which helped precipitate the Great Depression; and, of course, the false rationale given to the American people by the Bush administration for going to war in Iraq.
