No water slide

We don't need a million dollar slide that will only be used for three months (a year) at Cape Splash.

Sidewalk repair

They are fixing the sidewalk over there on Broadway and over there by the water company. The people over here on the south side need their sidewalks fixed too. The people on the south side pay taxes too. Why can't we get our sidewalks fixed? The sidewalks on the south side are all cracked up, uneven. But they're fixing over there on Broadway and over there by the water company. Why not the south side?

Political fear

Although it appears to be well under control in America, politicians will continue to promote fear and mass hysteria for political gain at least until the election is over.

Ocean front property?

After reading the Speak Caller that recently stated Obama care is working, now that I've composed myself from rolling on the floor laughing I would like to sell this person some prime ocean front property I have here in Cape Girardeau!

Bowen column

Historian, military strategist and taction Dr. Wayne Bowen recently wrote that the United States needs to being more abroad to combat ISIS but did not elaborate. So, that raises the question, like what, Dr. Bowen, like what?

Corrupt votes

Well folks, get ready for a very interesting election. Already in early voting in Illinois it got off to a rocky start Monday, as votes being cast for Republican candidates were transformed into votes for Democrats. When will the corruption stop? I know that is a hard question to ask when you have an Obama administration pulling the strings!

Retirement challenge

I just saw a headline that asked " Why aren't Americans saving more for retirement"? Duh. Could it be because gas costs us almost twice what it did eight years ago at the pump, or could it be that medical insurance premiums have skyrocketed because of the "Affordable" health care farce or maybe because the cost of living in general has consistently went up? What glass house do these "elite scholars" live in? Get your hands dirty as an average American who "works" and it is very evident you would not have to ask such a stupid question.
