Work it out
PARENTS HAVE become so concerned about their money that they've forgotten their children. If you don't want to pay child support, go to counseling and work out your problems. Learn that the world isn't always going to do what you want, then teach that lesson to your children. Walking away from a difficult situation is the easy way out. Working through it is tough but rewarding. Cowards run. Heroes stay and fight.
Dose of reality
U.S. COMPTROLLER General David Walker, the nation's chief fiscal officer, interjected a dose of reality into President Bush's rosy claims that his administration can cut the federal deficit in half within five years without changing policies. "The idea that this is manageable or that we are going to grow our way out of the problem is just flat false," Walker said.
