Last week when I so carelessly left my wallet in a cart on Schnucks parking lot, some very honest person found it and turned it in. Thanks so much and God bless.
Let the Rams go. We built them a great stadium, we updated it to make them happy and they are again threatening to leave. They haven't had a winning season in a decade. Good stadiums are for good teams. The Rams, on the other hand, should be playing on a local high school field. Goodbye to bad rubbish.
House speaker John Boehner's overwhelming re-election along with establishment Republicans openly laughing at the handful of tea party Republicans who challenged and voted against Boehner shows how jaw-droppingly far the once influential tea party has fallen.
A courthouse is not a courthouse without tunnels. Either change the name of the federal courthouse or build some after-the-fact tunnels.
With the U.S. leading the world in the economic recovery, I consider this a complete vindication of the much maligned Keynesian economic system.
There are several charitable organizations that collect items for their resale stores. I'd like to find a couple that collect clothing to give freely to those in need.
I think all houses ought to have handles in the bathroom or shower. This should be an ordinance somewhere along the line, especially for new ones, that you've got to put handles in the shower or the bathtub. I'm almost certain the insurance companies would go along with that, because there's a lot of people that fall in there. I know I fell years ago. It did not have handles. Of course, it was out of town. If it had handles, I wouldn't have fallen.
Grade inflation is getting so bad I get upset when my kid gets a B.
Last spring I saw a couple articles referring to Capaha Park as "lovely." I think those writers have only seen the park from Broadway. The sidewalk on the north side of the ball diamond fence is a series of mud holes. The biggest is about 25 feet, maybe 2 inches thick and, after a rain, covered in water. The U.S. flag has been missing for several months, and there is a light out in that area, too. Not much to be called "lovely," but I've called and written to the park department a couple times; the mess is still there.
Why are gas prices higher in Cape and Jackson than Southern Illinois when their state taxes are much higher than Missouri?
New studies show that chewing gum increases your metabolism and helps fight obesity. So, teachers, let those kids chew gum!
I'm curious. How much money is spent on replacing the cables damaged on I-55 and would that be enough for MODOT to take care of the 8,000 miles of roadway they say they don't have enough funds to maintain properly? Maybe they should place the cables in the center of the median. Placed on either side near the roadway is dangerous!
