Perhaps you have done this but if not could you please compile and publish the top five or 10 most dangerous intersections in Cape Girardeau, presumably base on police reports of accidents. Though based only on anecdotal evidence, I would still be surprised if the intersection of William and Lorimier streets does not appear on the list...

Different statues

To the Speak Out caller who said we should remove Union statues as well as Confederate ones: There is a difference. The soldiers fighting for the Union were fighting for their nation. The ones fighting for the Confederacy were fighting to keep slaves picking their cotton. They deserve as much respect and honor as a S.S. concentration camp guard.

Racial lines

Read with chagrin David Limbaugh's column in Sunday's paper where, among other things, he said President Obama had divided the country along racial lines. Really? Let's discuss that. Bill Clinton was a progressive Democratic president like this president and the Republicans fought him tooth and nail, as was their right. But never did they spout the vitriol towards him that they do toward President Obama. So tell me, what is the difference between Clinton and Obama other than color? And so who is it that is dividing the nation along racial lines?
