Scott City has another miracle baby

To the editor:

I appreciated the article on the littlest preemie in Thursday's Southeast Missourian. I am also the mother of a miracle baby. He was born at 25 weeks gestation and weighed 1 pound, 12 ounces at birth. He has overcome all the obstacles and, like Madeline, suffers from none of the major handicaps common in preemies. He may suffer learning disabilities, but they won't be known for several years. He is truly a normal 5-year-old in every way.
