Please vote in Aug. 3 primary

Fellow conservatives Chuck Purgason and Bob Parker, campaigning to replace longtime Washington insiders, will get a voter decision in the Aug. 3 primary. Independents and Republicans can finally choose candidates truly committed to the conservative tenets of the Republican platform.

Our "primary" is being run outside the party structure with a petition drive. We have asked registered voters in all 28 counties to give us the opportunity to run in the general election with their signature. Many of you reading this have probably signed our petition. Thank you.

Thank you especially to the many volunteers who helped us with this effort. The actual determination made by the secretary of state's office will be known by Aug. 30.

We discussed conservative solutions concerning energy independence, reducing spending, term limits for congressmen and stopping illegal immigration as we conducted the drive. Join me and vote in Missouri's primary Aug. 3.
