The Southeast Missouri State University production of "Peter Pan" kicks off Wednesday in the Bedell Performance Hall at the River Campus.

The performances will feature 22 theater and dance majors from Southeast, two local children and professional actress Emily S. Grosland as "Peter Pan."

Grosland was a late addition to the production. She has played the role previously and performed in several others plays such as "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and "The Diary of Anne Frank."

In addition to professional choreography and costuming, there will be flying. Southeast senior Alyssa Cooper, cast as Wendy Darling, said: "With all these professionals at the top of their game, how can this show not be amazing?"

These productions take a significant amount of work from organizers and performers. We hope you attend.

Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, 8 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Sunday. As of Monday afternoon, tickets remained for all performances. They may be purchased at the box office of the cultural arts center at 518 S. Fountain St., by phone at 651-2265 and online at RiverCampusEvents.com.
