PEARL HARBOR: WE SILL NEVER FORGET

There are still veterans of the bombing attack on Pearl Harbor who remember the horror of that Sunday morning -- Dec. 7, 1941 -- when their comrades died and were injured.

They will never forget.

Nor should any American ever forget the price that has been paid by servicemen and women who have worn our nation's uniform and followed the U.S. flag into perilous situations so that we all might have a nation of liberty and freedom.

Even though 59 years have passed since the bombs hit in Hawaii, the memory still sears our minds.

As a result of that attack, the United States entered World War II.

Thousands more died on battlefields and aboard our warships in the pursuit of peace.

May we never forget their noble deeds and cause for which they laid down their lives.
