To the editor:
David Limbaugh has been lambasted by both his political friend and foe. As a lawyer, he should know more about constitutionality than your average citizen. While I do not always agree with him, I think he is an intelligent man with great conviction and passion for what he believes. While many Christian conservatives are in an uproar over Chief Justice Roy Moore in Alabama, Limbaugh has shown me that he is not quite as radical as I thought. He used his common sense and knowledge of the law in coming to his conclusion.
I would like to thank Limbaugh for taking the time to discuss some of the latest political explosions. One thing he made very clear is that we absolutely should not adopt a state religion in this country. The First Amendment clearly states that Congress cannot do so. That being said, Christians must continue to support one another, but we must also abide by the laws set forth by our Constitution, like it or not. Revolution and anarchy are not the answers we are looking for. I would hate to wake up one morning to find myself living in an era of civil war.
