Twenty-fifth anniversaries are popular this year. Cape River Heritage Museum is celebrating its 25th with a number of functions through the year and a special recognition afternoon for past board members and dignitaries. The historic preservation program at Southeast Missouri State University celebrated its 25th the weekend of April 21.

This anniversary year, Dr. Eric Clements' historic preservation class and the museum collaborated two afternoons a week for four months. Students were assigned exhibits to be assembled and displayed this year, bringing back some of the most popular ones.

Learning experiences for students has been ongoing for a number of years at the museum, including being docents and working with archival donations. The working agreement is most beneficial to the student program and the museum. Dr. Bonnine Stepenoff, museum board member, has encouraged interaction.

The museum board wishes to congratulate the faculty and students of the historic preservation program and thank them for their dedication to the museum's well-being.
