To the editor:
Last Wednesday my father and I were in Cape Girardeau for his brother's funeral. I want to express my amazement and gratitude to those people who showed their respect by pulling off to the side of the streets when our procession approached them. Going from the funeral home to the church and then again from the church to the cemetery, car after car would pull off as we approached. This courtesy overwhelmed us. This proves that we still have a lot of good people in this country, especially in Southeast Missouri. I am very proud when I tell people that I was born in Cape Girardeau. Keep up the good work, and thanks to all those we met that day.
