Humans survive three seconds without hope, three minutes without air, three days without water, three weeks without food -- so, ... how long would we flourish without electricity?
On Feb. 15, the Missouri Senate passed Senate Bill 564 sending it next to the Missouri House of Representatives, and the House now considers this energy policy legislation. Missourians want the full package: a $100 million Ameren Missouri electricity rate cut, stable and predictable energy bills with a hard 2.85 percent/year Rate Cap, a $1 billion grid modernization with physical and cybersecurity grid safeguards -- all enabled by this bill.
Electric power provides lifeblood to our information technology-driven economy and everyone depends on dependable, economical electricity. Our homes, our schools, our businesses, and yes, our jobs require adequate, affordable, safe, secure and reliable electric power.
We're all in this together, and we need this energy bill passed and signed to secure our prosperous future.
