Military deserves supportive stories in the newspaper

To the editor:

In response to the article "War ties up demand for yellow ribbon": Thank you for placing the photo of our youngest son, John, on the front of the April 2 edition in the story about the yellow ribbons. He was very proud to be able to answer your reporter's questions about his brother's involvement in the war. I believe we need all the stories that can be featured that show our support for the hometown men and women and for all the military stationed throughout the world. I do appreciate the coverage and will try to get word to our son in the Air Force to check the Southeast Missourian's Web site for the story. Keep up the supportive coverage for our troops. Thank you.
